Eggs

Our flock is only locked up in a run/pen (where their coops are safely located) at sunset, for their safety. They are let out every morning, for the full day, to roam as they please, making them cage-free, free-range and pasture-raised.

With 24 new colorful additions this spring & summer, we are around 70ish chickens! That’s what we call that “chicken math.” LOL

With free-ranging, our chickens are able to eat their fair share of bugs, grass, clover, and sometimes even mice and snakes! We do provide pellets, scratch grain and oyster shells to supplement (all non-GMO).

They also linger around the door most days, waiting for any scrap food (including egg shells) to head their way!  This extra calcium & protein keeps them laying very well all year long!

We get a wide variety of colored and speckled eggs! 

Fun fact: free-range eggs are higher in vitamins and mineral, and lower in cholesterol!
